The number of GNSS jamming and spoofing incidents has dramatically increased around the world and also in the European airspace. Especially GNSS spoofing poses a threat to commercial aviation. This creates an urgent need for jamming and spoofing robust GNSS technology. While such systems exist and have proven their potential, there are currently no solutions available which are qualified for their use in commercial aviation.
The goal of the JASPER project is to bring anti-jamming and spoofing technology into aircraft.
A device shall be created that can be installed on an operational aircraft as loose equipment. It delivers jamming and spoofing related information to the cockpit crew for better situational awareness. The device, however, is not meant to replace existing GNSS receivers.
We would now like to hear your feedback how such a device could look like an how it could be used.
